Chandler
Originally from Virginia, Chandler's arrival at J. Turner Design Co. began with her educational journey, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Oregon, an Associate of Arts in Fashion Design from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in San Francisco, and a Master of Fashion from Domus Academy in Milan.
Chandler’s early career began in Product Development and Design in the Sports Apparel at the North Face, Saucony, and Columbia Sportswear.
Passion for art, furniture, and interior design began a decade ago for Chandler when she helped her husband convert their private home, winery, and cellar door in New Zealand into a luxury destination. The result of their efforts garnered international attention with feature articles in Travel + Leisure, UK Condé Nast Traveler, UK Telegraph, and Luxury Magazine. The most notable visitors to the property were Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, on their Royal Tour of New Zealand in November of 2015.
Since returning to the States, Chandler has taken on multiple home renovation projects and continued her hospitality experience, converting one of her properties into a 5-star Airbnb/VRBO.
Chandler’s approach to life and design was defined during her year in Italy. This was the first time she heard the term “sympatico” in design. In that context, it similarly translates in English as the ideal of a sympathetic, like-minded approach to design. Chandler is dedicated to the outcome of a beautiful and functional space in which her customers can live their lives to their fullest expression.
